21/10/11 - 'Thank God I have done my duty' -Trafalgar Day
This is my turn to wave the flag for a great Naval Hero born & raised in Norfolk. On this day in 1805 Lord Horatio Nelson met his maker .
My Dad is named Nelson because he was born on 21/10/34 & he passed the name to me as a middle name. (Happy Birthday Dad)
Today, I met my first Grandchild for the first time !
What is the link to my image you may ask? Well, this is the mudflats & marshes at Burnham Overy, very close to Nelson's home at Burnham Thorpe.

Those who follow my daily blog will recall I spent a couple of days camping on the Norfolk coast last week. I met several dedicated and extremely talented photographers, here Rod Edwards is capturing the sunset and tide rising across the marsh at Burnham Deepdale. I was fascinated to learn of Rod's technique here, shooting some 5,000 images! I recommend you view his website http://www.rodedwards.com/
I've uploaded my photographic response to Rod's work here http://smu.gs/qOigQo
30/09/11 'Indian Summer - sunrise'

Just got home having spent a couple fo nights camping on the Norfolk coast. This Tipi is not a typical feature on the UK skyline howver my campsite had several and this was the view from my tent before the sun rose this morning!
9/06/11 'Blakeney viewed from Morston Quay'. A second look today having spent most of the day trying different layers/textures & filters, reading Art Hill fantastic blog, I came back to a very similar process to my earlier post. The church features in both images but from the opposite direction. I prefer this one best XXXL
