Kerry Nix  > Professional > Image Restoration
Something of a rainy day project, I intend to improve my digital image processing skills whilst archiving faded family photos. I will add notes as to what I've done and if available some reference tothe who/where/when of the image. If you would be interested in having me process/restore an image, please contact me at phil@philnix.me.

I took a photo of this 60yr old sepia print under natural light on a dull day. Scanning was not possible as it accented the gauze like texture of the paper.
My Mum as a bridesmaid 60 yrs ago. This was a tricky restoration/ colourisation due to the original surface texture. Mum said she wore a light dusky pink dress and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. The hardest task was getting a realistic skin tone!
Smart blur applied to remove the gauzing caused by the photo texture
Tom & Jean's Wedding 1951, my mum is peeping round the side!
Ruth Emily Nix (nee Lineham) My Grandma, she served with the Postal corps in Bolougne during the First World War. I've remove surface cracking around her face and restored the contrast. You can see how bad the cracking was getting by looking closely at the shaded area above her brow.
John & Elizabeth Lineham original
Gently restored by removing black spots torn edges, creases. Depth & detail improved by adjusting the contrast. Presented in mattching frame.
Promenading original
